The Call for Proposals of the programme "Engaging civil society in Pan-African issues" waslaunched on 11 March 2016, with a total available budget of EUR 20 million.
Financed under the Pan-African Programme of the European Commission, the project aims at supporting the contribution of civil society organisations (CSOs) to continental decision- and policy making processes in Africa.
Its objective is twofold:
- increase CSOs’ ability to contribute to a more effective implementation and monitoring of African continental legal instruments and to a stronger awareness of the people of their rights;
- support CSOs’ increased participation and contribution in African continental decision- and policy making and standard-setting.
